Award winning horticulturalist Angus Stewart has spent a lifetime working with and breeding Australian native plants to make them more gardener friendly, this passion ever expanding on his southern Tasmanian property.
Former presenter on ABC TV's Gardening Australia for over a decade, Angus writes a weekly gardening column for the Sunday edition of the Hobart Mercury and has written seven gardening books , including his latest, Futureproof Your Garden, co-authored with his daughter Emma Stewart.
In addition to his work in the media, Angus is a highly respected and experienced international speaker, garden tour leader and consultant for rural and urban developments.
His website, Gardening With Angus provides free advice on gardening and Australian plants in particular. He has also just released his own range of Australian native seeds.

Join Angus in the Government House Ballroom 10am, 14th July 2023. Take a sneak peek at his latest projects, reminisce with career highlights, there’ll also be time for questions from the audience, followed by morning tea in the Drawing Room.

The duration of the lecture is estimated to be 40 minutes, followed by morning tea in the Drawing Room and the opportunity to purchase from the Government House gift shop. Doors will open approximately 15 minutes beforehand.

Parking will be available on site. Please drive through the main gates and follow the directions of staff.
