The theme for the Anima Women’s Network Lenten Retreat is mercy. The Latin term for mercy, misericordi, means having a heart that is moved by pity and compassion. But misericordia is not just a response—it's also an outreach: an effective presence and a healing action. In calling the Jubilee Year of Mercy, Pope Francis declared "Jesus Christ is the face of the Father's mercy." The graces available in this jubilee year give us the means to participate in this mystery, to become faces of mercy.
