LIVE AT THE GREEK: OMADOS

The Greek Centre has become a Friday night favourite again with the return of Live at the Greek, a fortnightly music program showcasing Melbourne's best Greek musicians. Grab a parea, settle in with a drink and enjoy an evening of traditional and contemporary sounds.

Friday 07 September Omados takes pride in performing authentic Greek music traditions.

 

Joseph Tsombanopoulos (gaida, tsambouna, kaval, lyra & vocals) together with George Athanasakos (clarinet, outi & vocals), Kat Stevens (violin), Paddy Montgomery (lute, cumbus) and Rosco Heck (percussion) will travel the regional dance music of Greece, including Thrace, Macedonia, Epirus, Peloponnese and the Islands featuring a range of local instruments. Omados takes pride in performing authentic Greek music traditions.
