Please join us for a day of fun at the Charity Golf Day to show support for Children’s Medical Research Institute and Miranda Belshaw Foundation.
We will be playing 18 holes of golf (in teams of 4 players in Ambrose format). Following the golf, there will be a buffet lunch in the Banksia Room, overlooking the course. During the lunch we will be holding an auction where you will be invited to bid for items of medical equipment to help in the fight against childhood illness.

About the Charities you will be supporting:
Children's Medical Research Institute (CMRI):
Since 1958, Children’s Medical Research Institute (CMRI) has focussed on the most significant health issues affecting our kids. In the 1950s and 60s, it was premature birth and infectious diseases—now it’s cancer and rare genetic disorders.
1 in 20 kids is born with a birth defect or genetic disease, and world-wide over 160,000 children are diagnosed with cancer every year. CMRI is asking the difficult questions and working hard to find real answers so we can give these children a healthier future. Jeans for Genes was established to help fund CMRI’s world-class programs in cancer research, embryology, neurobiology (including epilepsy), genetics and gene therapy, and our innovative medical research is helping to find cures for children’s genetic diseases.
Your donation directly supports our world-leading researchers and their efforts to find cures for children's genetic diseases.
Miranda Belshaw Foundation:
We are a volunteer-based charity established to raise vital funds directly for SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) & SUDI (Sudden Unexplained Death in Infancy) research in memory of Miranda Belshaw. Miranda was a thriving and apparently healthy 5-week-old baby who passed away suddenly and unexpectedly in the arms of her parents while she was awake. We have been directly funding the Sydney based SIDS & Sleep Apnoea Lab for the last six years which has assisted in a significant SIDS breakthrough. The group identified that orexin, a brain protein, was significantly lower in SIDS babies. With further research, this protein could be used for potential future SIDS screening tests. We continue to support SIDS & SUDI research to further progress our understanding of SIDS and ultimately eliminate SIDS deaths.
If you are unable to make the event, any donation for these wonderful charities would be gratefully received. You can donate here on the special golf day donation page at CMRI. All donations made to Children's Medical Research Institute for this golf day will be shared 50/50 with the Miranda Belshaw Foundation.
