Transforming Sexual Patterns

The neo-Tantra movement that is sweeping across the globe teaches that sexuality is sacred.  When approached the right way, it is able to connect us with our partners, ourselves, and the divine, in an incredibly potent and intimate way.  All that is true.

However in traditional Tantric societies sex wasn’t incorporated into spiritual practice until the initiate had done years or even decades of meditation practice.  This was because the ego has a tendency to grab ahold of sex, and seeks to get all sorts of unconscious egoic needs met through sex and sexuality.  This could be our need to be loved, or seen, or to feel powerful, or connected, or many others.

Sexuality is one of the areas where we’re wounded the most in our society, or maybe is just such a fundamental area of life that it reveals our deep wounding.  Regardless, our sexuality carries deep unconscious conditioning and patterns, and often get’s entwined with our wounding,

Without understanding how the ego itself grabs a hold of our sexuality, our ability to engage with sexuality in a clean and sacred way is unlikely.  To redress the toxicity, imbalance, unhealthy patterns, fixations and wounding, and transform our sexuality into a living expression of Essence, we need a deeper understanding of the building blocks of our sexuality, and how our sexuality is formed and patterned.  We’ll dive deeply into that in this workshop.

In this event we’ll explore particular patterns in our sexuality, discover the link to our wounding, and bring healing to the entire chain, helping to free our sexual energy to return to the original definition of erotic - meaning Union. 

Hence this workshop is for people who are curious about their sexuality and want to know how to experience fulfilment in this area of their lives, or people who feel that their body may be stuck in certain patterns and ways of relating, or for those curious as to why they attract certain sexual energies or partners into their lives.

If there are patterns in your sexuality that you deem unhealthy, such as sex addiction or porn addiction, then this workshop is for you.  However it’s not just these extreme expressions that are formed from our wounding - it’s actually the case that our entire sexual ego comes from our wounding.  Therefore anyone can benefit from this exploration and transformative process.

Elica is a Midwife for the Soul, a Psychotherapist in Private Practice and a workshop creator. She specialises in working with the parts of the personality and the subconscious mind and has over 15 years in the field as therapist, teacher & client. She embraces the ego and acknowledges it's role as 'The Defender of Essence'. Her experience over the years has shown her, as we work with all of our ourselves with Great Love & Compassion, the doorway through the personality to the real person and their real life opens. Through this pathway, our true potential as Human Beings can be embodied and realised.

Amitayus is a Spiritual Coach, and a Tantra and Yoga Teacher, especially focused on Relationship as Spiritual Path and the Individuation Process. The values that he holds dear, and emerge in all his offerings are: deepening consciousness, loving connection, and adventurous exploration. He is currently working towards a diploma in Transpersonal Psychotherapy at Ikon Institute in Melbourne.
