About

Castlemaine's Kalimna Park is home to the largest remaining population of the threatened Eltham Copper Butterfly in the world. However, its entirely possible that other, undiscovered populations exist around our region. Local ecologists Elaine Bayes and Karl Just will be running Eltham Copper Butterfly monitoring sessions around Castlemaine in Dec 2019 and Jan 2020, when the adult butterflies are out and about.
