19-20 MJ Sailing States Round 2 and Rookies

 

This event booking allows you to register a casual entry to the second Port Kembla Sailing Club (PKSC). Casual entries will not count in the Championship’s Point Score or Prizes.

 

If you entered for Round 1 and Round 2 together (Round 1 was in November 2019) you don't need enter again.

 

Please refer to the Manly Junior Association Website for more details and access to the relevant Notice of Race and Sailing Instructions on the Event page.

 

Each boat entered for Novice and Open Fleets must also be officially registered with the Manly Junior Association of NSW. If your sailing club does not include this in their annual membership fees and you have not already paid for your boat (for example at our Teams Race event in October 2019, or Nationals in December 2019) then please purchase this now.

 

(Clubs that typically include this in their fees include Manly 16s and Middle Harbour 16s).

 

Boats entered for Rookie Division do not need to pay the Annual Registration fee. (but still need to be insured)

 

If you are booking for 2 or more boats then you will need to make individual bookings for each boat.

Please allow 8-10 minutes to register a boat as we have a lot of information that needs to be collected about the boat, the skipper, the crew and the parent/guardians providing consent. Please read below to help you prepare for the registration.

 

Apart from the obvious (boat name and sail number, sailors' names etc) you will need:-

• Australian Sailing Numbers (previously YA Numbers) for both Skipper and Crew. Your club will know your sailors' Australian Sailing Numbers or look it up here: https://www.sailing.org.au/member-finder/
• Date of Birth for both Skipper and Crew.
• Allergies / medical conditions for both Skipper and Crew.
• Insurance Company and Policy Number (NB: your boat must have $10m public liability cover). In the unlikely event you don't already have insurance you may wish to check out the Australian Sailing insurance information here which provides programs targeted to dinghy sailors with part of the commission paid back to your club.
• Primary and secondary parent/guardian/emergency contact names and phone numbers for both Skipper and Crew.
• Consent of parents of skipper and crew to agree to terms and conditions.(please read the Notice of Race and Sailing Instructions linked here)
