About

[Original Story and Music] The Venetian Sonnets is set in medieval times. A young man is picked up in the south of Italy by clerics on their pilgrimage to the Venetian Republic. The brothers and the young man travel at a point in history where conditions are harsh, with invasions and disease being the order of the day. Small communities of brothers live on various islands within the Lagoon. The story charts the young man’s life on one of these islands and his affection for another cleric.
