About

Secondary students of Nowra Christian School present Oklahoma!, the first collaboration of Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II. Oklahoma! is set in Western Indian Territory in the early 1900s. The spirited rivalry between the local farmers and cowboys provides the backdrop for the love story between Curly, a handsome cowboy, and Laurey, a beautiful farm girl. The road to true love is anything but smooth, but there is no doubt that these two romantics will succeed in making a life together.

Music by RICHARD RODGERS
Book & Lyrics by OSCAR HAMMERSTEIN II
Based on the play "Green Grow the Lilacs" by Lynn Riggs
Original Dances by Agnes de Mille

"Oklahoma! is presented by permission of ORIGIN^TMTheatrical on behalf of R&H Theatricals, www.rnh.com
