What makes your poetry yours? Where has it come from and where is it going? We will break down the components of writing a poem, beginning with the title. We will discuss our reading and writing practices. Do we have a poetics? A theory of what poetry is? If so, what is it, and how does it connect to our being in the world? Thinking through these matters, and our uses of image, voice and form, this workshop provides a space for not just writing a poem but writing towards a poem at a new level.
