The South Coast Writers Centre's 2021 Writer in Residence, author Julie Keys, will host a weekly writing day for SCWC members at Coledale Community Hall. This won’t be a facilitated group, and will be open to any SCWC member who wants to come along. The first session between 9.30 and 12 will be writing only. The lunch time session will be all chat. You’re welcome to come to both or just one of the sessions.

Julie Keys lives in the Illawarra region and has worked as a tutor, a registered nurse, a youth worker and as a clinical trials coordinator. Her short stories have been published across a range of Australian journals, and she recently completed a PhD in creative arts at the University of Wollongong. Julie’s debut novel The Artist's Portrait was shortlisted for The Richell Prize then published by Hachette in 2019 when she was 57.
