Responsible service of gaming (RSG) course
Responsible Service of Gaming (RSG) training is required for Victorian gaming venue staff.
The training equips gaming venue staff with the knowledge and skills they need to ensure that gaming is provided responsibly. As part of the new training requirements, two modules need to be completed by gaming venue staff.
Module 1 and module 3 are online courses hosted by the State. Module 2 and module 4 is then normally delivered face-to-face to staff in gaming venues; however, due to arrangements resulting from COVID-19 restrictions, this training is currently being offered both at gaming venues and being delivered virtually via video-conferencing.
Module 1 must be completed within one month of commencing work in a gaming venue and module 2 must be completed within six months of commencing work in a gaming venue.
Module 3 and module 4 must be completed as a refresher before the date three years after the completion of module 2.
Please note that completion of module 1 is a prerequisite for attending module two training and completion of module 3 is required prior to attending module 4 training.
This training offering is designed for gaming venue staff members who are not able to access the training offered within the venue at which they are employed.
This training is intended for those who are already employed in the gaming industry.
You are actively discouraged from attending this training prior to getting a job in a gaming venue.
