Jeff and Hunter decide to document, musically, all the challenges in writing a new musical. Though initially stumped by the question of what to write, the two writers settle on writing about their endeavour to write a new musical for a new musical theatre festival. With some help from their friends Susan and Heidi, they create and perform their 90-minute musical submission for the festival, which incorporates their banter, bickering, and hilarious conversations about the hardships of making art.
