Paul Thomas - Lost Sacrifice: Samuel Jacob - An Indonesian in Australia’s War
During WWII thousands of Indonesians were evacuated to Australia. Many dedicated themselves to the Allies cause against the Japanese, though some found themselves in a more ambivalent position. This presentation looks at the life of Samuel Jacob who, together with his family, escaped from a Japanese internment camp in the Aru Islands, eastern Indonesia, and found himself in the service of the Allies in Australia
