A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM
by William Shakespeare
Directed by Megan Dansie
Season: 5-15 MAY 2022
THE PLAY
This will be a fast, funny and whimsical version of Shakespeare’s most popular play.
Marriage is in the air – the Duke is about to wed his warrior lover, four young friends are in a complicated love quadrangle, and the king and queen of the fairies are talking divorce – again.
Add in a group of amateur actors with more enthusiasm than talent, and their pushiest member, Bottom, and we have a classic comedy with some of the funniest scenes in theatre.
Performance Venue: Little Theatre, University of Adelaide
First Read: Before the Christmas break, exact date and time to be confirmed by Director.
Opening Night: Thursday 5 May 2022, 7.30pm.
