A collaborative film installation from Emily Bowman and Ebony Muller. Presented as part of the 2021 Inertia program at Dancehouse.

Emily Bowman and Ebony Muller | Encountering With
Encountering With is a three hour durational film installation. When booking a ticket, please be aware of the below entry times which are staggered half an hour apart. Audience members will be able to experience the film for as long as they like, but must enter in one of the above entry times. Audiences will be admitted in groups of eight.
Entry times: 11:30am, 12:00pm, 12:30pm, 1:00pm, 1:30pm & 2:00pm
Ticket Prices: GA $12Presale tickets offsale 2 hours prior to advertised showtime, door sales available.

Your Visit

Help keep each other safe when visiting Dancehouse. Here’s what to expect when visiting:

  • It is a current condition of entry that all eligible people are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 unless they have a medical exemption
  • If you’re feeling unwell please stay at home. Do not come to Dancehouse. Let us know ASAP and we will refund your ticket
  • Everyone must sign-in with the Victorian Government QR code and sanitise their hands upon entry
  • You must wear a face mask while inside Dancehouse.
  • Dancehouse operates at 75% total venue capacity with appropriate density limits for each space depending on activity. Dancehouse cleans and sanitises between each show and event. Please physically distance. Cashless payments only.
  • Admittance is on a first-in basis and capacities are limited. We recommend arriving early.

Accessibility Guide

Dancehouse is a limited access venue. The top floor of Dancehouse includes the Upstairs Studio and Skylab and is only accessible via two flights of stairs. 

On the ground floor, the Dancehouse Foyer and Sylvia Staehli Theatre have good access including: 

  • Wheelchair access via a ramp entrance from Princes St.
  • An accessible all gender bathroom with RH toilet handrail and lever-handle tap. Accessible via the foyer.
  • Companion Card holders may book additional tickets free of charge by choosing the Companion Card option.
