Narrative traction: the sense that something unmissable will happen in the next scene or chapter; an urgent need to see what comes next. Ever read a book you just can't put down? Ever stayed up way too late reading? Ever had to read one more chapter, just to see what happened next? That's narrative traction at work. However narrative traction isn't an innate talent, or a nebulous concept. It’s created with a tools and techniques that can be taught, analysed and learned. This course is a 101 on narrative traction and turning your writing into a book readers can't put down.

Presenters Bio
Jake Corvus is a prolific writer living on the Sunshine Coast, in Australia. While born in 1985, he is often mistaken for a teenager. He writes sci fi & fantasy, with a queer and inclusive bend. He watches too many horror movies to have any self-respect, and lives with an array of rescue animals, including shrimp, cats, dogs, guinea pigs and his sons.
