The Mediterranean inspired the architecture of Harold Peto’s designs and the colours in Gertrude Jekyll’s early paintings & later plantings. This lecture will explore the creation of the Surrey Style by Lutyens and Jekyll and the spread of their ideas.
Caroline Holmes is a UK Garden Historian, author of 12 books and gave two sell-out ZOOM lectures for AGHS last year.
