AGHS Branch AGM & Lecture: The Enduring Camellia Tree
The Annual General meeting of the Australian Garden History Society ACT Monaro Riverina Branch will be followed by our Annual Lecture, The Enduring Camellia Tree presented by Dr Stephen Utick.
AGHS Branch member and renowned camellia expert Dr Stephen Utick will talk about the long history of the camellia in Australia and the complex issue of how to manage 'living antiques', represented by the colonial camellias of NSW. He will also describe some of the work being done to conserve ancient and historic camellia trees globally.
As usual refreshments will be served after the talk.
ACT Monaro Riverina Branch members are particularly encouraged to attend both the meeting and the Annual Lecture. Others are welcome to attend the AGM (without voting), OR to join us for just the lecture.
Do come!
No charge but a donation for Ukraine humanitarian work will be welcomed,
