Perth Rotary Luncheon | Mike Waine - Elevate Wellbeing
Mike Waine - Elevate Wellbeing | “How to not say the wrong thing” – Tips on supporting each other in the workplace.
“How to not say the wrong thing” has been developed to assist businesses with mental health conversations within their organisation. We aim to arm employers and employees with the tools they need to best support each other.
Many people want to be able to offer a supportive ear or shoulder if someone is struggling but feels underprepared and worried they will say the wrong thing. Being a mental health support person is about being available to listen and then helping the other person find professional support when needed.
Mike is a qualified registered psychologist with experience in running therapeutic groups and one on one therapy. He is trained in Schema Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and Strengths-based approaches, and has experience in EMDR.
