The one, the only Bobby Valentine and The Band of Renown have made their mark in Melbourne and country Victoria, and are very excited to be joining us at the Macedon Railway Hotel!
Performing his fifth album and first country album, 'Writing My Book Again', featuring his own originals to great reviews: The music 'allows his rich voice to sit in perfect counterpoint to the music and for emotions to shine through. The result is an album that should please fans of real country. . .and this is real country.' - Country Music Capital News, October 2018.
Bobby has been a professional entertainer for over 30 years appearing nationally and internationally, working with Stevie Wonder, Whitney Houston, Rod Stewart and many Australian legends. As a successful solo artist Bobby has notched up many significant private performances including Hugh Jackman’s wedding and Jimmy Barnes' 40th.
In recent years Bobby’s original songs have brought him great success in international songwriting competitions and an invitation to Nashville, all expenses paid. A number of his songs have featured on the big screen including in a 2018 feature film made in Ireland.
Saturday 15th October Bobby will be gracing the MRH stage with his traditional-style country originals as well as some popular standards accompanied by the sensational 'Band of Renown': Damian Cafarella (Lachlan Bryan and the Wildes, Bill Chambers, Kevin Bennett, Shane Nicholson), Adrian Scott (Air Supply, Little River Band), Craig Hadlow (Mary Wilson, The Platters), Nigel Thompson (Bluestone, The New Dream) and Lauren Elizabeth (Joe Camilleri, Cooking on Three Burners).

CAPITAL COUNTRY NEWS ALBUM REVIEWS (OCT 2018)
WRITING MY BOOK AGAIN
After four decades as a top draw entertainer Mr Valentine makes a long overdue move into the country music scene with an album that saw him delving into the bottom drawer to pull out a few songs that he wrote many moons ago – but I’m glad to say they seem as fresh as the head of a just poured glass of beer – and some newly minted ones as well.
Ten out of the 12 tracks are Valentine originals that range from straight country like the title track, Living Beyond My Dreams and Too Many Beers, to the foot-tapping, light-hearted Country And Western Songs and the swampy rock of Stranger In A Stranger Land.
The covers are Bartender’s Blues and King Of The Road – so you know where his inspiration comes from. This is mostly an acoustic workout which allows his rich voice to sit in perfect counterpoint to the music and for emotions to shine through. The result is an album that should please fans of real country … and this is real country.
