ADFAS Perth - The body as a place: The Sculpture of Gormley
In Australia Antony Gormley is best known for his Lake Ballard figures but internationally for his iconic ‘Angel of the North’ sculpture, imposingly situated beside the A1. Anna Moszynska has known Gormley since he was a student and written on the artist’s drawings, and has a unique perspective to review the development of this major British sculptor and his fascination with the body as a place – both of experience and of interaction with its surroundings.
