Introduction to Home-scale Aquaponics (SOLD OUT)
About
Aquaponics is a form of gardening where plants and fish live in a beneficial relationship, helping each other to thrive. Herbs and vegetables grow by taking up nutrients from the fish waste, and in return, the plants clean and filter the water. At this workshop led by Jonathan Martinetto from Aquaponics Revolution, you’ll see the small-scale aquaponics system in action at the community garden, learn about the principles of aquaponics and have a basic introduction into setting up and maintaining a home-scale system.
Stay for a Sausage Sizzle & Plant Sale in the Community Garden afterwards.
