About

Ella Thompson

Celestial and visionary, Ella Thompson is one of Australia’s most dynamic musical talents. Ella is an ardent songwriter, who effortlessly contrasts avant-garde with pop, layering vocals and synthesizers to produce poetic dance floor bops. She creates a steady stream of music, releasing work with her electro-pop duo GL and alt-pop group Dorsal Fins, alongside her captivating solo work. At this concert, Ella is supported by rising folk musician Danika Smith.

‘Ella sings new soul like an old soul.’ – Paul Kelly
