Peter Bowden is a retired academic who has spent considerable time consulting and advising the World Bank and several UN agencies in close to 30 developing countries. His work was aimed at determining how a particular function of government in the country could be more effectively managed, and has generated a long-term interest in examining approaches to improving our lives. Peter has written two books on ethics, and one on successful ageing. His latest book is "The Enigma of the United States".
