Crescendo Theatre is very keen to bring Heathers to life as our third annual production! For those familiar with the Heathers musical, we are performing the 2019 West End version. Heathers is a dark comedy musical with the book, music and lyrics by Laurence O'Keefe & Kevin Murphy. Based on the cult classic 1989 film, Westerberg High is ruled by a shoulder-padded, scrunchie-wearing trio: Heather, Heather and Heather, the hottest and cruelest girls in all of Ohio. But misfit Veronica Sawyer rejects their evil regime for a new boyfriend, the dark and sexy stranger Jason Dean (JD), who plans to put the Heathers in their place - six feet under. Trigger warnings: This production contains haze, loud noises including gunshots, flashing lights and strobe, strong language and mature themes including murder, suicide, sexual violence, fat shaming, homophobia and references to eating disorders. Due to the content, we recommend this performance for viewers older than 14 years of age.Location
