What is a stage manager and what do they do?
Learn how to pull a script apart, construct rehearsal schedules and script blocking.
Learn skills for dealing with others and time constraints.
Different spaces mean different rules and guidelines, learn how to adapt.
Please Note: This Workshop is set over 2 different venues on the same day (10:30 am start - Donald Simpson Centre, 172 Bloomfield Street, Cleveland and then moving to Birkdale School of Arts Hall, 101 Birkdale Road, Birkdale. 2nd part of workshop starting at Birkdale Hall at 1:00 pm.) It is assumed that workshop attendees will be able to provide their own transport between both venues.)
About the Facilitator – Laraine Griffiths
Laraine has been involved in theatre for 40 years. Laraine has worked professionally, pro-am and in amateur theatre groups. Laraine has been a mentor to numerous people, and key to many going onto professional roles in the theatre industry.
