Managing boundaries with people w/ personality difficulties
Current effective treatments for personality disorder all emphasise relational factors as the core pre-requisite for, or indeed perhaps the mechanism by which change occurs. This workshop will describe a language and model to help clinicians understand the role they are taking up on the care-control continuum, know how to look out for and respond to changes in the therapeutic boundary, and implement practices within their organisation that can reduce or prevent the incidence of harmful outcomes for consumers with relational difficulties.
The training will be facilitated by Dr Nik Loft, Principal Psychologist at Forensicare’s Thomas Embling Hospital, and Ms Claudia Mulder, Principal Psychologist and Lead Clinician with Forensicare’s Personality Disorders Initiative.
While we would prefer attendees pay through TryBooking, if your organisation will only pay via invoice, please contact Mitali Gupta.
