A hands-on workshop that will walk participants step by step through the grant making
process from project idea through to acquittal. It will focus on the Brimbank
Community Grants program and align to best practice principles in grant writing.
Areas covered include:
• The grant making cycle
• Writing a 50-word grab (succinct project summary)
• Understanding the guidelines and assessment criteria
• Working with partners
• Answering the questions in the application form
• Making the link between the project plan and the project budget
• Building a project budget (for a grant application)
• Support material
• Completing the acquittal report
