Sally Ford and the Idiomatics

About
On 22 July, the Tarwin Lower Hall presents Sally Ford and the Idiomatics playing songs of life, love and lived experience. This newly formed trio from Melbourne fuses the musical provenance of its members … latin,
electronica, ska, jazz, brass band, pop and funk.
Patrick Cronin and Michael Havir provide lush backing arrangements to Sally Ford’s wryly
observed lyrics. The expansive sonic palette of keyboards, samples and electronica is enhanced
by trombone, saxophone, flute and even a bit of old-fashioned whistling. Original tunes and
freshly interpreted classics come together in this richly imagined musical experience.
