Irena’s Gift Book Launch
Join us for the book launch of Karen Kirsten's Irena's Gift at the Lamm Jewish Library of Australia.
Karen will be interviewed by journalist and author of The Freedom Circus, Sue Smethurst.
KAREN KIRSTEN AND IRENA'S GIFT:
Karen, an Australian writer living in the US, unveils the remarkable tale of her family’s hidden history in her upcoming book. One day, Karen’s mother received a letter from a stranger revealing a shocking truth – that she had been smuggled out of the Warsaw ghetto in a backpack and her presumed mother was, in fact, her aunt.
Determined to unravel her family’s secrets and locate the Nazi SS officer and others who saved her mother, Karen embarked on a captivating journey of discovery. Irena’s Gift (Penguin) is set to release in July.
