About
We are hosting a comprehensive education seminar ‘Ports Victoria’ to address crucial maritime topics affecting our local waters.With guest speakers from Ports Victoria, Marine Safety Victoria and the Victorian Water Police, this free seminar is a must for all yachties and recreational boaters who use Port Phillip Bay and The Heads.
Strategies for avoiding ship collisions in the channel, recent incidents, before delving into the challenges within the exclusion zone at Port Phillip Heads, entry and exit protocols, and the new exclusion zone for Pilot boarding outside the heads. You'll also learn about sharing the main shipping channels responsibly and understanding the Notice to Mariners, its purpose, and how to use it effectively.
Marine Safety Vic will discuss new safety regulations regarding flares and mobile phones, while the updated life jacket requirements for recreational boating will also be covered.
The session will finish with a Q&A session
