Stonewave Taiko and taiko duo, A.YA from Melbourne are excited to present a mini Mid-Winter Japanese Festival with a variety of activities taking place over 3 days in Bega at the end of June. Activities will include a Japan-focussed event at the Bega SCPA markets on Friday 30th June - taiko performance and workshops, origami and a rare opportunity to watch and try out a Lion's Head dance. On Thursday 29th June, we will hold a cooking class making delicious Japanese savoury-filled buns (oyaki) and on Saturday 1st July in the morning come and join a Taiko workshop, suitable for all ages and all abilities. Enrich your understanding of Japanese culture, have fun, and experience the joy of playing taiko!
