This year’s stimulus, students were given the lyrics from the movie Mulan ‘Reflection’ – with a focus on “If I wear a mask, I can fool the world, But I cannot fool my heart, Who is that PERSON I see, Staring straight back at me?”. In addition, students were asked to include transformation of object, transformation of place and creative use of space. The stimulus challenged students to consider overcoming adversity or challenge, looking ahead to a bright future or any other way that it could be interpreted. The inclusions challenged students to think creatively about setting, props, and space.
