The annual Knights fundraiser is on again - Saturday November 25th. Great night for a great cause, and this year all funds raised will be going towards helping two needy families rebuild their homes in Croatia. As always this event is a Sell out so get in early, Look forward to seeing everyone again. Doors Open: 7 pm * Mass: 6pm*
In 2020, Croatia was hit by one of the biggest earthquakes in its modern history. Tragically it took the lives of 7 people and left thousands of people without a home. Generous funds were raised around the world, and in addition, with some government support, many homes were rebuilt. However, there are families, 3 years later, still living in shelters.
This year we will be helping 2 needy and deserving families rebuild their homes.
The 1st family, have 12 children and are from Banovina, near the epicentre of Petrinja, their home was so severely damaged, that it had to be demolished. Work on their home has only just recently started. Two of their children, have severe kidney disease. The father, is a Domovinski war veteran who lost his leg during the war.
The 2nd family, have 9 children and are from Glina, whose home was also severely damaged. Six of their children have special needs. They are in the process of re-building but without assistance they will not be able to complete building before the winter sets in.
Every year we support so many people in our Homeland, and we know the funds go direct to the people. We sincerely hope you will join us once again and support these 2 deserving families in their time of great need.
