About
During the course of the workshop, participants will explore:
· What is life writing and what do we already know about it?
· What is creative nonfiction? Adding to the truth? Making things up? Something else?
· What is the difference between memoir, autobiography, biography, the personal essay?
· Converting a situation into a story
· Creating characters
· Writing in scenes
· Keeping the reader engaged—incorporating tension and suspense
· What is my structure?
· The question of ethics
Participants will have opportunity to write and to share their work with each other for feedback.
This three hour workshop will include a short break. Tea and coffee will be provided.
Tickets $30pp OR $20pp for GRLC Members (free to join) OR $10 for Concession holders.
