Get ready for a fabulous 2 days of fun, laughter and Ukulele playing
Saturday: The Wild Food Farm and Cafe in Rhyll will play host to workshops designed to engage players from total beginner to more experienced.
Only workshop participants require tickets. Bystanders do not require tickets, there's plenty of room to sit back, relax, watch and enjoy.
Never picked up a Uke before? - come to one of our beginner classes, Jacqui and Dani Paulson are a mother and daughter team that are conducting sessions for both children and adults get you up and playing in no time.
Want to expand your horizons? Ian McMullan will guide you through fingerpicking techniques and you can spice up your group arrangements with Things That Make You Go MMM.
Want a chance to perform? Jenny Taylor is teaching a fun song that the group will get up and perform at the Picnic on Sunday.
Want to chill out and just have some fun? Join in one of the strum along sessions, Awkward Strangers will lead you playing some well known covers and orignial songs at CHURCHILL ISLAND and Graeme Riddell will lead a late afternoon jam session back at the Wild Food Farm and Cafe.
Don't have a Uke? Don't worry, there will be a small number of ukuleles available for loan for each and every session.
Hungry or need a Caffeine fix? Great coffee and food will be available for purchase in the cafe throughout the day.
Saturday Night: Will be a night of entertainment at the premier music location on the Island. Join us at Dimples Lounge Bar in Cowes as Things That Make You Go MMM will play us some fabulous tunes and host an Open Mic Night. Bring your Uke and show us what you've got, or just sit back and relax and listen to those brave enough to have a go. Pub style food and dutch courage available for purchase at the bar.
This is a fun free event for a serious cause.
We are raising money to start a music therapy program for Bass Coast Health to run in our hospitals and aged care facilities. We will have raffles running throughout the day, stickers and other mementos for sale and all donations are very welcome. All proceeds will go directly to the Music Therapy Program.
