Please join us for an evening exploring aspects of surgical life at St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne!

St Vincent’s Surgical Students Society (SVSSS), St Vincent's Pre-SET Society, and the St Vincent’s Academy of Surgeons are thrilled to present our annual Surgical Careers Night on Wednesday, 13th September.

Spearheaded by A/Prof Lih-Ming Wong, head of the St Vincent's Academy of Surgery:
Come and hear what life is like as a surgical intern, and a panel discussion regarding the current issues confronting those in surgical training. The St Vincent's string quartet will make a cameo performance. Our guests speakers include Ms Nicole Tweddle (SVHM CEO) and Mr Rod Woods. Nicole will speak to the vision for surgery at SVHM. Rod will reflect on a distinguished career of colorectal surgery and how surgery and sport synergise. 

Dive deeper into surgical specialties in breakout sessions, where you can connect with consultant surgeons, fellows, and SET registrars from areas that pique your interest.

Whether you have queries about specific specialties, training programs, work-life balance, or research avenues – we’re here to address them all!
