September weeding work party

Thank you to those of you who joined us on the August weeding work party and removed more than 1500 woody and other weeds, particularly Billardiera heterophylla, B. fusiformis (WA Bluebell, Sollya) Hakea sericea (Needlebush), and Denhamia silvestris (Narrow-leaved Orangebark). ANBG management and staff have sent their thank you for this great work, too.We will be continuing our weeding work parties on the first Saturday of the month, and the next weeding work party is planned for 9am to 12 noon, Saturday 2 September 2023.
At this stage we are planning to meet at the Caswell Drive entry to Black Mountain Reserve. Remember that you need to be heading south along Caswell Drive and the entry to the reserve is quite tricky. Please slow down, indicate left at the blue”P” sign 2/3 of the way down the hill and the entry to the carpark is up a narrow and steep driveway to the left and at right angles to Caswell Drive.
