Sunday Sessions Jazz: The Bowlo VIII - Jazz Piano History II
Back in July, our marvellous Sunday Sessions Quartet under the guidance of legendary pianist Peter Locke had put together a top program looking back on the history of the piano in jazz music, and the influential bands and musicians over time.
However, due to last minute changes as a result of illness, we didn't get to present that program in full - so now it's back for our September concert!
Our Sunday Sessions Quartet will play songs from the great songwriters and performers in jazz history.
The day will feature music by Bix Beiderbecke, Fats Waller and Duke Ellington – also boogie woogie – and moving ahead through piano history to such artists as George Shearing and Bill Evans.
This is a special day celebrating our marvellous quartet and will be a day of great music. We can't wait to see you there!
