2 Day Advanced Wound Management Courses
This program is presented by the Regional Wounds Victoria Wound Management Clinical Nurse Consultants. It is aimed at experienced nurses who want to advance their skills in clinical assessment, compression therapy and wound debridement This is a very interactive and hands on workshop. Please wear loose clothing.

• Assessment of the person with a wound
• Neurovascular assessment of the lower limb
• Wound Bed Preparation and assessment
• Factors affecting healing
• Identification and management of wound infection
• Pressure injury prevention and management
• Staging of pressure injuries
• Skin tear classification, prevention and management
• Wound product dressing selection
• Screening and referral to interdisciplinary team
WORKSHOPS
• Podiatry felt offloading
• Ankle/Toe brachial Index
• Compression bandaging
