This event is a celebration of the wonderful rural women of the South West Slopes region. We will also be presenting the inaugural 'Half the Sky' Awards, recognising five extraordinary local women who are achieving great things in their work or business, in the community or elsewhere.

Why 'half the sky', you ask? Well, there's an ancient Chinese proverb that says 'Women hold up half the sky'. We all know it - women are great contributors to our world. But unfortunately, women are often overlooked for recognition of their success. And that's where these awards come in ... to celebrate and reward the achievements and contributions of so many wonderful women in our area.

VENUE: Bundawarrah Centre - Temora Rural Museum, 29 Junee Rd, Temora
COST: $40 per person (plus online booking)

Invite your friends and get a table of 6 people. Our tables are named after famous women from history, so you can choose your favourite and make a booking on her table!

To assist with catering and event planning, ticket bookings close 2pm, Thursday 12 October. 

This event is organised by Soroptimist International South West Slopes Inc. All proceeds from the event go to Soroptimist projects to help women and girls.
