This heavy groove combo from Melbourne will take you on an abstruse journey into the darker fringes of instrumental music, drifting from funk to spiritual jazz and through to psychedelic fuzz rock. The Seven Ups are your soundtrack to the dancefloor at the end of the world.The bands new album is a deep dive in to the lesser-known-places of instrumental music. Singles: Old World Monkeys and Monoliths are a mature take on the bands classic heavy-funk sound that has seen them become stalwarts on the Melbourne music scene over the last 13 years. Meanwhile, the band stretches out on the long-form instrumental tracks A Free Blowing Wind and A Cosmic Scale, taking listeners on a meandering journey from deep psychedelic grooves, to lush plateaus and onwards to aggressive fuzz rock.
The Seven Ups have become a regular on the touring circuit playing festivals including Meredith, Womadelaide, Blues on Broadbeach, Riverboats, Queenscliff and more.
