THERE IS NO OCCASIONAL CARE ON THURSDAY 25 APRIL. ANZAC DAY PUBLIC HOLIDAY.
Occasional care is short-term care for children aged between six months to five years to enable the primary carer an opportunity to ‘take a break’.
Children’s programs are developed by qualified early childhood educators. The programs include a range of experiences to access and enjoy that are age appropriate in a safe, secure and caring environment.
Occasional care is ideal for families looking for regular social contact or child care for their child.

There a 15 places available for each session, 4 places for children under 3 years and 11 places for children over 3 years. Please ensure you book the correct 'ticket' for your child/ren.
The fees are -
- $35* per child
- $33* per child from the same family
- $30* per child for health care card holders
* Includes a $0.50 fee per ticket
If you have a Health Care Card please enter HEALTHCARD to receive a discount of $5 per child, when checking out.
You will be required to enter the Health Care Card number for registration.
To receive a discount for additional booked children please enter this code CHILDREN when checking out.
An enrolment form for each child must be completed prior to leaving your child/ren in care. Forms are available from the Centre or at https://www.gleneira.vic.gov.au/services/family-and-children/occasional-care
- Bookings are essential.
- Places can be booked on a casual basis.
- Bookings are taken from Monday, up to one week in advance of care.
- Fees are to be paid in advance and are non-transferable and non-refundable.
Immunisation
Please ensure that all of your child’s immunisations are recorded on the Australian Immunisation Register. If you require assistance with this, email Council’s immunisation team at immunisation@gleneira.vic.gov.au
