Sunday Sessions Jazz: 'The Bowlo XII' Tilly + Billy!
Our Sunday Sessions Quartet has a very special treat: Tilly + Billy! combining two very special performers: rising star, vocalist Tilly Street with the legendary trumpeter Billy Burton.
As resident band leader at Sydney’s iconic Chequers Nightclub and the Chevron Silverspade Room, Billy and his orchestra performed with countless international artists, including Stevie Wonder, Tom Jones, Shirley Bassey, Dusty Springfield, Jose Feliciano and Bobby Darin. Now in his 90s, Billy is still both confounding and brilliant, and performing regularly. Tilly’s irresistible tone & phrasing has made her one of Sydney’s favourite jazz vocalists with musicians & audiences.
The $30 ticket price plus booking fee ($20 for student/child) is for event entry only, with reserved table seating. Food and drink is available to order at the venue. If you have any special song requests or seating preferences, please let us know when you book! Doors open from 1:00pm with the band playing from 2-5pm.
