Scavengers sets the stage for a day-in-the-life tale of a busy inner-city thrift store. You are invited to nestle among the bric-a-brac after hours for a rare glimpse behind the counter as writer and performer Jewels shares a collection of quirky stories in Till Tales inspired by the colourful customers she's met in the shop over the past decade.
Following a successful run at the 2023 Melbourne Fringe Festival, Julie-Anna Evans is bringing her site-specific show 'Till Tales' back to Scavengers for an encore season this May. With over 25 years of experience in theatre and screen, Julie-Anna is a Brunswick-based actor who draws from a strong foundation in physical theatre, storytelling, comedy, movement, and character-based work to bring the shop to life.
The worlds of physical theatre and op-shopping collide in 'Till Tales,' a whimsical and nostalgic salute to the things we've loved and let go of.
