Set in 1970, this acclaimed comedy drama follows a bad-tempered history lecturer at a New England boarding school who remains on campus during the Christmas break to chaperone a handful of students with nowhere to go. He soon forms an unlikely bond with a brainy but damaged troublemaker, and with the school’s head cook. The real journey is how they help one another understand that they are not beholden to the past, but that they can choose their own future.

For those who want to forego the hassle of driving up, FAM is offering a coach and meal package deal which includes your film ticket, return coach transfers from Mackay CBD and a main course meal at the Pinnacle Family Hotel (drinks not included).

The coach will depart from outside Artspace, Gordon Street, at 4.00pm.
