Rotary Geelong East takes much pleasure in inviting you to our next scheduled FACE TO FACE meeting to be held at Leopold Library this Tuesday, 7 May 2024
Story Dogs - Vanessa Roadley
Story Dogs is a reading support program where selected children read to an accredited dog and its trained handler. When children read to a dog the outcomes are amazing: they have fun, they are not judged, their focus improves, their reading skills increase and their confidence soars.
Vanessa has been involved with Story Dogs since March 2022 and last year took on the role co-ordinator of Geelong - Central & Northern.
Having worked as a teacher, becoming a volunteer with Story Dogs gave Vanessa the opportunity to share her love of children and Dogs. Vanessa and 'Poppy' help children in Central and Northern Geelong area.
Light supper will follow.
