Rutherglen Arts is pleased to invite participants to join Beechworth poet/presenter Frank Prem for a half-day interactive workshop focusing on:
- Understanding maxims and principles that will help you to become your best writer-self. e.g.
 
- What does ‘show, don’t tell’ mean?
 - How can you find your own unique Voice.
 - How can a picture be worth a thousand words?
 
- Creatively incorporating images in your writing:
 
- Decorative
 - Illustrative
 - Inspirational
 
- Taking control of your personal publishing journey:
 
- Forms of publication
 - Being a writer/becoming an author
 - Print On Demand (POD) publishing for anyone. For everyone.
 
This workshop is targeted at:
- Poets and writers of any experience level interested in contemplating their own approaches to writing, the use of images in writing and taking greater control of their own writing output.
 - English teachers engaging students in poetry, and their students who may be exploring their own approaches to poetry/creative writing.
 
Delivery mode
- Face-to-Face with presenter and interactive small groups, incorporating writing and discussion activities.
 - Materials Required
 - Notetaking materials (pen, paper, iPad, or Digital notebook).
 
COST
$55 per person or $50 per person for Arts Rutherglen members.Workbook provided. Complimentary bubbles, light refreshments, tea and coffee.
