70 Trees for 70 Years - Mount Pleasant Primary School
About
Mount Pleasant Primary School was founded in 1953 and to celebrate our 70th Birthday, the school in collaboration with the P&C Association commenced planning last year to develop a native urban forest using the Miyawaki method.We will be planting 70 trees in the south-east corner of the school. The project aim is to develop a multi layered woodland for our children to play and native birds to thrive. The trees will be planted by the students (with helpers!) on Tuesday 11th June. As part of the project we will be moving the existing sandpit/long jump and improving this facility.
We are inviting the community to be a part of the project by contributing with a donation to the trees. There are various donation options available. We will have permanent signs created to commemorate the 70 year project with contributors names to be displayed.
